Acta Dei: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of all published articles. When errors or ethical concerns are identified in a published article, the journal will take appropriate action based on the nature and severity of the issue.
1. Correction
A correction may be issued when errors are identified that do not affect the validity or overall content of the article, such as:
- Minor errors in writing, spelling, or formatting that may cause misunderstanding.
- Errors in the authors' names, affiliations, or other related information.
- Errors in acknowledgements or supporting information.
- Minor errors in data or information related to the community service activity that do not affect the main conclusions of the article.
Corrections will be clearly indicated and linked to the original article. The changes made will be explained transparently while maintaining the original publication record.
2. Retraction
A retraction may be issued when serious problems are identified that affect the reliability or integrity of the article, such as:
- There is evidence of plagiarism.
- Data or information related to the community service activity have been fabricated or falsified.
- Information about activities, participants, results, or outcomes is found to be inaccurate or to have never actually occurred.
- The article has been published elsewhere without appropriate disclosure (duplicate publication).
- Serious ethical violations are identified in the implementation or reporting of the community service activity.
- Major errors are found that make the information or results presented in the article unreliable.
A retracted article will be clearly marked as a “Retracted Article” and will remain accessible as part of the journal's publication record. A retraction notice will clearly explain the reason for the retraction and will remain linked to the original article.
3. Expression of Concern
An Expression of Concern may be issued when there are suspected problems with a published article, but the available information or evidence is not yet sufficient to determine whether a correction or retraction is necessary.
An Expression of Concern may be issued while an investigation or clarification process is ongoing. Its purpose is to inform readers about potential issues that are being addressed by the journal.
4. Withdrawal of Manuscripts Before Publication
Authors may request the withdrawal of a manuscript before publication. A withdrawal request submitted after the peer review or production process has progressed substantially may require an explanation from the authors and approval from the editor.
5. Investigation Procedure
When potential errors or ethical concerns are identified, the editorial team will conduct an initial assessment of the issue. Authors may be asked to provide clarification, data, documentation, or other supporting information related to the article and the community service activity.
When necessary, the editor may seek advice from reviewers, relevant experts, or the author's affiliated institution. The final decision will be made based on the available evidence and applicable publication ethics standards.
All investigations will be conducted fairly, objectively, transparently, and with appropriate confidentiality.
6. Transparency
All corrections, retractions, or Expressions of Concern will be clearly indicated on the webpage of the relevant article. The journal aims to ensure that any changes to published articles are transparent and accessible to readers so that the accuracy and integrity of publications in Acta Dei: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat are maintained.
